Hon. Wanjiru Wachira Restores Hope to Kaiyaba Family After Donkey Theft
Kaiyaba Village, Rurii Ward – A touching act of generosity has brought renewed hope to a family in Kaiyaba Village, Rurii Ward, after their two donkeys were stolen and brutally slaughtered near their home. The incident, which was brought to light through media coverage, left the family devastated as the animals were their main source of livelihood.
Upon learning about the unfortunate event, Hon. Wanjiru Wachira — a renowned philanthropist and the founder of the Wanjiru Wachira Foundation — stepped in to assist. Deeply moved by the family’s plight, she donated two donkeys to replace those that had been lost, restoring not only their means of survival but also their dignity and hope.
Hon. Wanjiru Wachira, who has been widely recognized for her consistent efforts in empowering communities across Nyandarua County, emphasized the importance of standing with those in need and showing compassion in times of hardship.
“This small act is about restoring livelihoods and showing that kindness still exists in our communities,” she said.
The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Wachira, with neighbors also praising her for her swift and generous response.
