“That's not me,” denies Ndumba Murangiri, the officer allegedly captured on camera shooting protestor. He is accused of killing the 29-year-old Rex Masai during anti-Finance Bill protests in June 2024.

The accused officer Constable Isaiah Murangiri disputes photo evidence and cell data placing him at the scene in Nairobi CBD on the day of the shooting. He says the man in the photos is not him and in fact he was not in town during the protests.

He also says he doesn't recognize the black mark on his left cheek and he's not aware whether he has one.
