The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert, warning of possible flooding in several parts of the country over the coming days.

In an advisory Kenya Met said areas in the Southeastern lowlands are expected to receive heavy rainfall exceeding 20mm within 24 hours starting today, Saturday.

Kenyans across several regions have been advised to brace for increased rainfall heading into the weekend, with the Kenya Meteorological Department issuing a fresh update indicating that widespread showers are expected between Friday, December 12 and Sunday, December 14.

In its weather bulletin released on Thursday, December 11, 2025, the department said many parts of the country are likely to experience rain, noting that amounts will gradually increase as the forecast period progresses.

This is the danger of neo-colonialism:

It pretends to help while tightening the rope.

Because how can a nation be free if its decisions are written by someone else’s pen?
How can a continent rise if its wealth leaves faster than its people return?
