The Homabay Waterfront Amphitheatre, located by the shores of Lake Victoria in Homa Bay, is a recently completed open-air performance and events venue. It is part of the county’s Lakefront Development Programme aimed at transforming the lakefront into a vibrant hub for culture, commerce, and community life.
The amphitheatre features modern architecture blending with the natural beauty of the lake, with tiered seating offering panoramic views of the water.
The amphitheatre is expected to boost tourism, stimulate the creative economy, generate jobs, and position Homa Bay as a premier destination for lakefront entertainment and cultural exchange. It is expected to benefits local residents, artists, tourism operators, and the wider community by creating economic opportunities and enhancing public spaces.
The venue has already been used as a fan zone for CHAN 2024 football events, indicating its role as a focal point for major social and cultural activities in the region
