It is with great sadness and acceptance of the Lordâs will that we announce the passing on of George Nyangâira Oduor - H.E Raila Odingaâs long-serving personal security aide, which occurred on Wednesday 2nd April, 2025 in Nairobi, after a short illness.
His parents were the late Mzee Johanes Oduor Ongâinjo and the late Mama Leornida Wahongo Oduor. He was beloved husband of Caren Auma Oduor. He was son-in-law of the late Mzee Nathaniel Odiyo Binge and the late Mama Dorina Atieno Odiyo. He was brother of Anastasia Aran, the late Wilfrida Oloo, the late Lucas Nyaudo, the late Alex Odhiambo, the late Juma Oduor, the late Aoko Oduor Mary Ngesa, the late Peter Oduor, Jane Anyango and the late Lumumba Oduor. He was cousin of Aggrey Ongâinjo, Antony, Bonface, George, among others. He was brother-in-law of Sireta, Philemon Okello,Victor Rodgers, Milka Okello, among others. He was uncle of Bruce Kennedy, the late Irene, Olga, Oscar, Eunice, Elvis, Priscah Anyango (Singh), among others.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his Residence - the NHC Courts, Langâata, Phase 3 from 5pm for Prayers and Moral Support. There will be a funeral service on Thursday 10th April, 2025 at the House of Grace Church, Nairobi West, from 12pm to 2pm.
The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday11th April, 2025 for his rural residence in Ndori, Siaya County, followed by a funeral ceremony on Saturday 12th, April, 2025 at Ramba High School (less than 1km off Ndori Town).
