🌍 Good News for Kenyans! 🌍

The Ministry of Health cabinet secretary Aden Duale announced the introduction of a new system for treatment abroad under the Social Health Insurance (SHI).

Here’s what you need to know:

✅ Who can get treatment abroad?

Only if the treatment is not available in Kenya

Your SHI contributions must be up to date

Treatment must be in an overseas hospital contracted by the Social Health Authority (SHA)

🏥 About the hospitals

Must be accredited in their country

Must be recognized by Kenya’s health regulators

Must work with a Kenyan hospital for follow-up care after you return

💰 Cost covered

The government will pay up to KES 500,000 for approved treatment abroad

Experimental or unproven treatments will NOT be covered

📢 The Ministry has directed SHA to publish the list of approved overseas hospitals soon.

This is a big step forward in making sure no Kenyan is denied life-saving care just because it’s not available locally.

Mauaji ya Kutisha Yatikisa Elburgon

Wakaazi wa kijiji cha Mitarakwa, Mariashoni Ward, Molo Sub-County wameachwa na simanzi na mshangao kufuatia mauaji ya kinyama ya wanandoa.

Kwa mujibu wa taarifa, miili ya wanandoa hao ilitupwa kwenye kidimbwi cha maji. Mwili wa Bi. marehemu ulipatikana jana jioni na kuondolewa, huku wa mume wake ukipatikana leo asubuhi.

Wakati huo huo, mfanyakazi wa nyumba ya familia hiyo hajulikani alipo na juhudi za kumtafuta zinaendelea.

Polisi wamesema mfanyakazi wa shamba wa familia hiyo ndiye mshukiwa mkuu wa mauaji hayo. Tayari amekamatwa na anazuiliwa katika kituo cha Polisi cha Elburgon kusaidia katika uchunguzi.

Hali ya taharuki ilishuhudiwa mapema leo asubuhi wakati wananchi waliwazomea maafisa wa polisi walipokuwa wakijaribu kuwatawanya ili kuchukua miili ya marehemu, na kulazimika kuondoka haraka eneo la tukio.

Wakazi wa kijiji hicho sasa wanaishi kwa hofu huku wakisubiri majibu kutoka kwa vyombo vya usalama kuhusu chanzo cha mauaji haya ya kikatili.
