Scripture
And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.

1 Samuel 18:14
Have you ever noticed how temptation often shows up when life seems to be going well? David’s story is a vivid reminder of this truth. He was a man after God’s own heart, chosen, favored, and blessed with victories. Yet the Bible reminds us that even at the height of his power, sin was never far away. What do you do when success makes you feel untouchable? How do you guard your heart when life is full of blessings?

David’s rise shows us that favor from God brings both opportunity and responsibility. The closer we walk with Him, the more the enemy seeks to distract and destroy. We must be careful not to mistake blessings for immunity. Just as David’s success didn’t shield him from temptation, neither does ours. That’s why daily surrender, prayer, and accountability are so important.

Think about your own life—where might pride, distraction, or hidden temptation be trying to creep in? David’s story encourages us to remain humble, seek God continually, and remember that strength without obedience can quickly become weakness.

The Scripture says, “He makes streams in the barren places, rivers in the desert.” There may be some things barren in your life. You don’t see how it could ever change. No, get ready. You’re going to see provisions you can’t explain, good breaks that don’t make sense.
Hope isn't just optimism it's expectation in barren places. This message reminds us that deserts aren't permanent landscapes but potential sites of transformation. What "desert" in your life are you refusing to water with hope? Perhaps the first river appears when we believe one could exist.

Scripture
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Matthew 13:23

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to thrive in their faith while others struggle?

Jesus’ parable of the four soils provides profound insights into this question. As Jesus taught by the shores of Galilee, He described a farmer sowing seeds on different types of soil, each representing the various conditions of human hearts.

What does each type of soil represent in our response to God's Word?

The path represents a hardened heart where the word is quickly snatched away. The rocky ground signifies those who receive the word with joy but fall away when trouble comes because they have no root. The soil among thorns illustrates those who hear the word but are choked by life's worries, riches, and pleasures. Finally, the good soil represents those who hear, accept, and produce a fruitful crop.

How can you ensure that your heart is like the good soil?

Cultivating a heart like the good soil involves being open, receptive, and committed to applying God’s Word in our lives. It means removing the "thorns" that choke our faith, such as distractions and worldly concerns, and allowing our roots to grow deep through prayer, study, and obedience.

STOP CHASING WIND.
Scripture
The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13–14

We spend our lives chasing success, recognition, and the next good thing. King Solomon, who had it all, called it “chasing the wind.” His conclusion was simple: “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man” (Eccl. 12:13).

This “fear” is not terror but reverent awe—knowing He is God and we are not. It realigns our hearts, bringing wisdom, freedom, and even God’s friendship. Because every deed matters to Him, our choices—seen or unseen—carry eternal weight.

On our own, we fall short, but Jesus bore our judgment and gave us His righteousness. In Him, fear becomes joy, and ordinary moments become sacred. Begin today with surrender, let His Word guide you, and trust that quiet faithfulness counts forever.

Scripture
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1
Have you ever wondered, “Am I really right with God?” Paul answers that question in Romans 5 with unshakable certainty: you are justified by faith, not by performance. In Christ, the gavel has already fallen—you are declared righteous. When accusations whisper “try harder,” the gospel proclaims, “peace with God.”

But justification isn’t the end; it’s the beginning. Paul says we “stand in grace.” Grace is more than a moment at conversion; it is the atmosphere you live in, the strength for weakness, the wisdom for confusion, the oxygen of obedience. Are you learning to breathe deeply in this grace every day?

Paul also tells us that suffering is part of the Christian life, not as wasted pain but as God’s training ground. Trials produce endurance, endurance shapes character, and character strengthens hope. This hope does not disappoint because it is upheld by God’s Spirit, who pours His love into our hearts. If God loved us while we were sinners, how much more will He sustain us now as His children?

GOD'S GRACE IS AVAILABLE TO ALL REGARDLESS OF THEIR PAST.
Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus revealing Himself as the Messiah to the Samaritan woman at the well. She recognized Him through their conversation and joyfully spread the news, leading many Samaritans to believe in Jesus and experience His transformative power.

Scripture
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:13-14

Have you ever felt an unexpected encounter change the course of your life?

Jesus’ meeting with the Samaritan woman at the well was one such transformative moment. As Jesus rested at the well, He asked the woman for a drink, breaking cultural norms and engaging her in a profound conversation. Jesus offered her "living water," symbolizing eternal life, and revealed intimate details about her life, showing her that He was the long-awaited Messiah.

What can we learn from Jesus' approach to the Samaritan woman?

Jesus’ willingness to engage with the woman, despite societal boundaries, teaches us about the inclusive and compassionate nature of His ministry. He looked beyond her past and offered her hope and redemption.

How does Jesus’ offer of "living water" resonate with you?

The concept of living water represents the spiritual sustenance and eternal life that Jesus offers to all who believe in Him. It signifies a deep, personal relationship with God that quenches our spiritual thirst and renews our souls.

What impact did the woman's testimony have on her community?

Inspired by her encounter, the woman ran to tell her neighbors about Jesus. Her testimony was powerful and effective, leading many Samaritans to come to Jesus and believe in Him. This story highlights the importance of sharing our experiences of God’s grace and truth with others.

How can you share your experiences of faith with those around you?

Reflect on moments where you have felt God’s presence and guidance in your life. Like the Samaritan woman, your testimony can inspire and lead others to seek and experience Jesus’ transformative power.

When people at Rhema Feast were hungry for more worship, it doesn’t automatically mean there’s scarcity of worship in our churches, but it does reveal something important:

1. Depth vs. Duration

In many churches, worship is sometimes reduced to a short "session" before the sermon and even at that song leaders entertain instead of leading people to God. People leave still hungry because the flow is cut short before they fully encounter God. At Rhema Feast, the worship might have been given more room, which allowed people to go deeper.

2. Atmosphere vs. Program

Often, churches stick to strict schedules, so worship is fitted into a time slot and even at that hypes take the center stage! At Rhema Feast, the atmosphere was prioritized over the program. That difference creates a sense of "more."

3. Spirit vs. Performance

Sometimes church worship leans more towards music excellence than spiritual depth. People long for worship where they genuinely encounter God’s presence, not just good singing.

4. Hunger vs. Scarcity

It’s not necessarily scarcity, it could be an awakening of hunger. When people taste true, unhindered worship, it stirs up a longing that perhaps was dormant in their regular church experiences.

👉 So the issue is less about scarcity, and more about the quality, freedom, and depth of worship environments in our churches. People don’t just want “songs,” they want the presence of God.
