Content warning: Viewer discretion advised.

HUU NI UNYAMA SHULENI!
This is impunity and an inhumane act of the highest order.
It’s time for the Ministry of Education to step in and protect our children from teachers who are supposed to guide them, not beat them like animals.
I also call upon the National Police Service to act without compromise. What is happening at Miathene Police Station? Why is the suspect still walking free?
The Department of Children Services must also step in.
Even if the student made a mistake, such punishment is unacceptable. If a child cannot be handled, suspend them and inform the parents instead of subjecting them to such cruelty.

COMPLAIN AS RECEIVED BELOW !!👇

Last night in Kawangware, I met this man whom I initially thought was a security guard. After speaking with him, I later came to learn that he is a Nigerian national currently living on the streets.

Whenever I meet someone living on the streets, I always take time to engage with them, understand their story, and learn how they ended up there. My goal is always to see how best I can help them rebuild their lives.

During our conversation, he shared that he came to Kenya after receiving a promise of sponsorship from his cousin to continue his education here. However, after only two weeks in the country, his cousin who had promised to support him left for the United States without enrolling him in school, leaving him stranded in Kenya.

As we continued talking, he explained how he struggled to survive and eventually ended up living on the streets. He has now been on the streets for about two years.

In one of the videos I recorded, a lady reached out to me and said she recognized him. According to her, they once lived in the same apartment building. She narrated how the man had been in a relationship with a lady who allegedly took everything he owned. This incident deeply affected him, pushing him into depression and eventually to the streets.

The man also shared that at one point he worked in Dubai, where he used to send money back home to support his parents in Nigeria. However, when he later returned home, he claims he discovered that he had been deceived by the very people he trusted. He gave me his parents’ contact, although we were not able to fully hear their side of the story.

Currently, his travel documents have expired, and he expressed that his biggest wish is to renew them so that he can return home to Nigeria and start life again. I offered to use my platform to help fundraise for the renewal of his documents, as he personally requested.

He also asked if I could help him secure any form of work so that he could at least sustain himself as he waits to regularize his documents.

However, after spending time with him and assessing his situation, it became clear to me that he urgently needs mental health support, as he appears to be struggling with depression. I therefore decided that the following morning I would take him to a private rehabilitation center where professionals could assess him and offer the help he needs.

After we agreed on this plan, I took him to a hotel where he could spend the night safely. I paid for his room and food, intending to pick him up the following morning and take him for rehabilitation.

Unfortunately, later in the morning I received a call from the hotel attendant informing me that although the man had slept well, he left the guest house very early in a hurry.

Later reports indicated that he had been seen back on the streets. Since then, efforts to locate and rescue him have not been successful. I am informed that he rarely accepts help from people, which makes the situation even more challenging.

If anyone happens to see or locate him, please kindly contact me through +254707946783 so that we can assist him, take him for rehabilitation, and help facilitate his return to his home country.

I am also appealing to his fellow Nigerians living in Kenya, those back in Nigeria, and well-wishers both in Kenya and abroad come through for him and support the effort to give this man a second chance in life.

Sometimes, all someone needs is a small opportunity and a caring community to stand with them.

Let us help him find his way back home.

I have always advocated for doing the right thing. During my time working in the environment i kept engaging peopleon the importanceof a clean and healthy environment as well as the importance of our natural resources, I consistently stood for protecting our natural systems.

The time has come to fix this problem once and for all. It does not matter who the developer is if an illegality has been committed, the law must take its course. Any structures obstructing natural water flow should be removed to allow the waters to pass as they should. Illegal structures along the drainage systems must be removed with immediate effect. This is for your own good .

Nairobians, please remain cautious during this period of heavy rainfall affecting many parts of the county. If you are in the CBD or at your workplace when it rains, avoid rushing to leave, as doing so may endanger both yourself and passengers in your vehicle. Wait for the rain to subside and for water to drain from the roads before travelling.

Public service vehicle drivers are especially urged to exercise patience and prioritize the safety of innocent passengers.

I also appeal to developers and property owners who have blocked waterways or built without providing proper drainage for storm water to urgently address this problem. Any illegal structures built on drainage systems should be removed immediately, as they pose a serious risk not only to others but also to those occupying them.

This is the time to restore order and ensure our city functions safely and with dignity. I urge residents to support the government’s efforts to clear blocked waterways, enforce proper planning, and protect lives and property.

These rains are more serious !

Nairobi Flooding Alert!!

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to exercise caution due to flooding in several parts of the city following the ongoing heavy rains.

Please avoid using Waiyaki Way near the University of Nairobi and the Westlands Roundabout, where the road is currently flooded.

Other areas experiencing or likely to experience flooding or heavy water accumulation include:
• Langata Road near T-Mall Nairobi
• Parts of Parklands
• Sections of Mombasa Road
• Riverside areas near Kamukunji
• Some roads leading out of the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD)

If you are currently within the CBD, do not rush to leave. It is advisable to remain patient and allow time for the rainfall to subside and for floodwaters to clear from the roads.

The same caution applies to those in Westlands and other parts of the city affected by the ongoing rains.

Safety first:Take your time, avoid flooded roads, and allow traffic conditions to stabilize before moving.

Stay safe and keep others informed.
