A family in Busia County is set to hold a mock burial ceremony on Saturday for their 39-year-old son, Oscar Khagola Mutoka, who was given a direct ticket to Sayuni in the Russia-Ukraine war on August 14, 2025.

The family said they only learned about his death in January 2026 after months of uncertainty. Despite making several follow-ups, they were informed that his body had been left on the battlefield to be eaten by wild pigs and could not be recovered.

With no hope of retrieving his remains, the family has decided to conduct a mock burial at their rural home in Busia County to give him a dignified send-off and find closure. Things are bad.

HAEMORRHOIDS, Do you have any pain and sometimes you feel like there is a swelling in your a**l area? Here is what you need to know.

Haemorrhoids (also spelled hemorrhoids or commonly known as piles) are swollen and enlarged veins in the a**s and lower re**um, similar to varicose veins.

Common symptoms include;
1. Bright red bleeding during or after passing of stool
2. Itching or irritation around the a**s
3. Swelling or a lump near the a**s
4. Pain or discomfort around the a**l region

Causes and Risk Factors
1. Low-fiber diet
2. A**l s*x yaani sim2
3. Pregnancy (due to pressure from the uterus and hormonal changes)
4. Chronic constipation or diarrhea
5. Straining during bowel movements (often from constipation)
6. Obesity
7. Heavy lifting
8. Aging

Home Treatment and Relief
1. Hydration — Drink plenty of water.
2. Lifestyle — Don't strain or hold it in; go when you feel the urge. Exercise regularly.
3. High-fiber diet — From fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, etc. This softens stools and reduces straining.
4. Sitz baths — Soak the area in warm (not hot) plain water for 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times a day. A sitz bath fits over the toilet or use a shallow tub.
5. Over-the-counter remedies — Use creams/suppositories with hydrocortisone, witch hazel pads (e.g., Tucks), or lidocaine for pain/itching creams like Anusol or Anustat. Oral pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help.

When to see a doctor
1. Persistent or heavy bleeding
2. Severe pain
3. Symptoms not improving after a week of home care
