Massive Inferno Engulfs Garissa's Suuq Mugdi Market, Devastating Businesses.

A massive inferno has tragically swept through Garissa's renowned Suuq Mugdi Market, destroying goods of unknown value and leaving a trail of devastation. The fire, which reportedly started in the early hours on Monday, rapidly consumed the market, a vital economic hub for the larger North Eastern region.

Emergency services, including firefighters from the Garissa County Government and other volunteers, battled the blaze for several hours, struggling to contain the fast-spreading flames amidst the closely packed stalls.

Local residents and traders also joined efforts to salvage what they could, but the intensity of the fire made most attempts futile.

The cause of the inferno is not yet known, and authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the fire started.

This incident marks a significant blow to the livelihoods of countless traders and the local economy, as Suuq Mugdi Market is a cornerstone of commerce in Garissa, known for its wide array of goods.
