As an artist before you get signed:

1. Are you financially able to fund your music career?
2. Is your music style sustainable?
3. Do you have online and offline presence?
4. Most importantly, are you talented?
5. Why do you want to be signed - to get free recording and publicity, or to be famous and rich?
6. Are you a career-oriented, disciplined and committed person ama ni ulevi tu na wasichana na matusi na vitina na ku'upload selfies mara tano kwa siku?

As a label before you sign an artist:

1. Are you financially able to build an artist's career?
2. Are you well-connected in the music industry (radio, TV, DJs, journalists, event organizers)?
