Chea Sopheak, 28, returned home on July 15 and told Kiripost that after nine years working in Thailand, he decided to leave because he faced difficulties, including the high cost of living and saving less money.
“I felt a bit scared as the situation [border tensions] was still happening, so I decided to come back. Now I don’t have a job yet, but I have received contacts from the MLVT to seek job announcements. I am waiting for my brother-in-law, who suggested I work with him in Svay Rieng province,” he said.
