A Nigerian-Australian woman has been arrested for allegedly trafficking 15 Papua New Guinean students and forcing them into unpaid farm labor under the pretense of educational scholarships. The suspect's company is accused of coercing students aged 19 to 35 into signing documents to repay unspecified costs, including airfares, visa applications, insurance, and legal fees. To settle these debts, the students were allegedly forced to work long hours on fruit farms, often violating visa conditions. The suspect faces 31 charges, including human trafficking, deceptive recruitment, and debt bo***ge. She is out on conditional bail and due in court on September 19.
