CamboJA organized a mid-year reflection workshop to create space for individual and team reflection on the past six months, while prioritizing mental well-being and emotional resilience across all roles.
We took time to reflect, recharge, reconnect, and co-develop innovative strategies to maximize our impact in the second half of the year. Together, we looked back on what we have accomplished, the challenges we faced, and the lessons we have learned — all while strengthening unity and team spirit.
On June 26, 2025, Mr. Nop Vy, Executive Director, and Mr. Coby Trenton Hobb, Associate Editor of the Cambodian Journalists Alliance Association (CamboJA), received the World Justice Project’s Anthony Lewis Journalism Prize on behalf of CamboJA News, recognizing our investigative reporting and daily coverage of issues undermining the rule of law in Cambodia.
As one of the country’s last remaining independent newsrooms, CamboJA was recognized (https://worldjusticeproject.org/news/camboja-anthony-lewis-prize ) for its persistent coverage of civil justice, labor rights, crackdowns on dissent, organized crime, corruption, and regulatory failure – providing critical, impartial journalism for local and international audiences in an increasingly restricted media landscape.
CamboJA is deeply thankful to the World Justice Project for presenting us with this award.
CamboJA News team remain committed to delivering credible and impactful news to our audience.
The 2025 Warsaw Principles for the Rule of Law were launched on June 26, 2025, during the World Justice Forum in Warsaw, Poland. Developed by representatives from public institutions, international and regional organizations, civil society, academia, and the private sector, they serve as a universal and foundational framework to address the urgent need to strengthen the rule of law in the face of expanding authoritarianism and the erosion of fundamental rights. These principles emphasize the necessity of a strong, bottom-up, and context-responsive rule of law culture to ensure that legal norms are effectively implemented, broadly respected, and serve as a check on arbitrary power.
Mr. Nop Vy, Executive Director of CamboJA, also signed the principles as part of commitment to promoting the effective implementation
