📺 WATCH: Etihad Airways Launches Direct Flight Route Between Cambodia and the UAE - Interview

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has launched its first direct flight route between Abu Dhabi and Phnom Penh, officially connecting Cambodia to more than 20 destinations across Europe and beyond.

The inaugural flight touched down at Cambodia’s newly built Techo International Airport on October 4, 2025, and was greeted with a water cannon salute. Passengers were also warmly welcomed by H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, alongside other senior government officials.

B2B Cambodia spoke with Arik De, Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, to understand what this new route means for the airline and the future of travel between Cambodia and the UAE.

Arik De, Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, shared what it means for the airline to land in Cambodia for the first time, with a direct flight route now established between Phnom Penh and Abu Dhabi.

Arik spoke with B2B Cambodia at the launch event held on October 4, 2025, at the Techo International Airport, to commemorate the first Etihad Airways flight landing in Cambodia.

Etihad Airways will operate a non-stop service four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Abu Dhabi to Phnom Penh, and on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays for the return flight.
