What if?
I always ask myself before I do something.
What if I fail?
What if it doesn't work out?
What if people judge me?
What if I lose myself?
What if I burn out?
What if it destroys my plans?
And somehow, all of those thoughts stop me from stepping out of my comfort zone.
But what if it works out?
What if it works out and I don't know what to do?
What if it works out and I screw it up?
What if it works out and I don't deserve it?
I have all of those thoughts every time.
I always feel guilty for things I can't control.
So yeah, if you see me applying for new opportunities, it's not because I have the courage or confidence to do it. It's because the thought of "what if" keeps eating at me.
Instead of giving myself time to overthink, I apply first and deal with the consequences later.
I'm sure it's not the best way to do things.
But for now, it's the best way for me.
