ក្រុមអ្នកសង្កេតការណ៍អន្តរកាល(IOT)គួរតែមានការសើបអង្គេតនិងដាក់ពង្រាយកម្លាំងរបស់ខ្លួនអោយបានច្រើនកន្លែងនៃតំបន់ជម្លោះកម្ពុជាថៃដើម្បីអាចកំណត់បានថាតើអ្នកណាជាអ្នកបង្កជម្លោះនិងអ្នកណាដែលតែងតែធ្វើសកម្មភាពបំពានទៅលើអ្នកណា ការធ្វើបែបនេះគឺដើម្បីពង្រឹងសន្តិភាពក្នុងតំបន់និងបទឈប់បាញ់រវាងកម្ពុជាថៃនិង ជៀសវាងការបង្កហេតុដោយភាគីណាមួយហើយឆ្លើយទម្លាក់កំហុសដាក់គ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក។

The IOT should conduct investigations and expand its deployments across more locations in the Cambodia–Thailand conflict zones, in order to determine who is responsible for initiating hostilities and who repeatedly violates the other side. Doing so would help reinforce peace in the region, uphold the ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand, and avoid incidents caused by either party that could lead to mutual blame.

Yet this is exactly what Thailand is attempting to do to the Cambodian people of Chork Chey and Prey Chan villages — communities that have lived here and safeguarded their ancestral lands for generations.

Cambodia Chooses Peace—Now Thailand Must Prove Its Sincerity

[Op-Ed] At the UN and in recent public statements, Thai officials have attempted to frame Cambodia as the obstacle to peace, accusing Cambodia of lacking sincerity and suggesting that peace depends solely on Cambodia’s choices. Such a narrative is misleading, unjust, and an affront to the truth. Cambodia has consistently demonstrated its commitment to peace, dialogue and international law. The real question is: has Thailand done the same?

The Cambodian military has stated on a daily basis that Thai soldiers consistently fire multiple rounds of small arms into Cambodian territory. They added that these actions by Thailand are intended to provoke conflict with Cambodia, pushing Cambodia to retaliate, but Cambodia has not responded. The IOT should strictly inspect and monitor Thai military activities along the border, because the Thai side frequently provokes in order to reignite war.
