BEHIND THE SCENES π¬ NATURE DOCUMENTARY π₯ ARTE Discovery πΊ
We were honored to collaborate with an incredible team on our latest production: a TV documentary series for Europeβs ARTE, spotlighting Southeast Asiaβs last rainforest: the Cardamom Mountains (π°π Phnom Kravanh αααα»ααααααααααΆα).
This vast jungle is home to some of the planetβs most unique and endangered wildlife, including Asian elephants, pileated gibbons, Sunda pangolins, and more, along with a rich diversity of exotic plants, like the aromatic cardamom spice that gives the mountains their name πππ
Filming Episode 1 was a 15-day adrenaline rush, made unforgettable by the amazing people around us: local guides, rangers, villagers, conservationists, and scientists, like Cambodiaβs top herpetologist, Mr. Neang Thy, who has contributed to the discovery of over 20 amphibian and reptile species, two of which were new to science!
A huge shoutout to the talented German filmmakers: Lisa, Julian, and Till, for brilliantly capturing the Kingdomβs thriving biodiversity, breathtaking landscapes, and captivating culture ππ©πͺ
This documentary, aimed at promoting Cambodia, wouldnβt have been possible without the unwavering support of Wild Earth Allies, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, the Ministry of Environment, and the local communities who generously shared their time, expertise, and dedication.
THANK YOU all from the bottom of our hearts π
Last but not least, a heartfelt thank you to our dear client, dmFilm, for entrusting our leading local producer, Sopheak Film Fixer, and our team with this extraordinary project. We canβt wait to work together again!
