The Khmer army is divided into the following main armies:
1- The elephant army is a type of elephant army carrying giant arrows, which are not ordinary war elephants, but elephants that carry large arrows or arrows similar to ancient cannons on their backs to destroy enemies from a distance, which is a very modern military strategy at that time.
2- The army carrying the phaek weapon, which is a special elite army. According to the sculptures, there is a small group of soldiers holding a weapon shaped like a hockey stick but with a sharp point at the end called the phaek.
3- The infantry and shield army is also a strong standing force, which is good at using long spears and short spears. The most special thing is that the Khmer archer army uses large shields with a unique shape to cover the front when shooting arrows to protect themselves from the enemy's return fire.
4- The auxiliary army, which is a conscripted army from villages and tribal troops to provide additional support, as they are highly skilled in ambushes and proficient in using the wild bow. These historical evidences clearly show that our Khmer people are not only excellent in architectural art, but also militarily strong, not inferior to any great power.
