Pitch day at UniPreneurCamp 🎤

On Sunday 28 June, our team was at the American University of Phnom Penh for the final day of UniPreneurCamp (Cluster 2), organized by Khmer Enterprise.
After three days of building founding teams and shaping real startup ideas, around 300 students from across Cambodia brought it all to the stage to pitch.

Chenla Media is growing, and we're looking for a Video Editor who is, above all, a storyteller. We mostly produce documentaries, impact stories, and PSAs — the kind of work where the edit is everything. You'll be shaping real human stories that move audiences across Cambodia and beyond.

🎯 What you'll do:
• Edit documentaries, impact films, and PSAs that genuinely move people
• Find the story inside the footage — pacing, emotion, rhythm, restraint
• Apply basic color grading for visual consistency across each project
• Mix and balance audio so every voice and moment lands
• Add Khmer and English subtitles with care and accuracy
• Work closely with our producers to bring each story to life

✅ You're who we're looking for if you have:
• 2–4+ years of professional editing experience
• A strong storytelling instinct — you can feel when an edit works (and when it doesn't)
• Solid command of DaVinci Resolve (this is what we use at Chenla Media)
• A portfolio/showreel that shows real narrative work — documentaries, interviews, or human-centered content
• Attention to detail and a love for the craft
• Proficiency in Khmer; English is a plus

⭐ Bonus points if you have:
• Motion graphics or basic animation skills (a nice-to-have, not a must)
• Experience editing for NGOs, development projects, or social impact campaigns

• Travel to provinces to lead shoots and ensure script accuracy on location

• 4+ years of experience in content production, scriptwriting, or creative leadership—ideally in an agency or production company
• Strong editorial judgment—you know how to turn a good draft into a great script
• Experience managing client relationships and communication
• Proficiency in both Khmer and English is essential
(About 90% of our scripts are written in Khmer, but you may need to develop concepts or communicate in English during client briefings and feedback—especially with international partners.)
• Willingness to travel to provinces for field production as needed
• Leadership skills—you can guide writers with clear, constructive feedback
• Full-time availability and commitment to in-office work in Phnom Penh

✅ **Key Responsibilities**
📷 Assist DoP/Videographer with **camera setup** (tripod/gimbal, lenses, basic camera support)
🎙️ Support **audio + lighting setup** (lavalier/boom microphone, LED lights, basic grip)
🎒 **Prepare / check / pack** equipment before shoots and keep gear safe on-location
🔋 Manage **batteries, memory cards, basic data handling**, and simple shot notes

🎯 **Requirements**
