Cambodia Deserves Peace, Not More Suffering...
As a Cambodian, I cannot stay silent watching what is happening at our borders. Our country has already suffered enough—from the horrors of the Khmer Rouge to the pain of rebuilding our lives from nothing. We never want to go through that kind of tragedy again. Yet today, Thailand’s aggression is forcing us to relive fear and destruction.
On June 25, July 10, July 18, July 23, and July 26 of 2025, Thailand rejected every effort for peace and mediation, including talks supported by President Donald Trump. They keep saying they want peace, but their actions show otherwise—deploying troops, bombing Cambodian villages, and destroying pagodas, schools, and the homes of innocent Khmer families. Cambodia is a small country; we have no reason to attack a bigger, richer, and stronger nation like Thailand. All we want is to protect our land, our people, and our ancient temples like Preah Vihear, which is rightfully ours.
I ask the international community, ASEAN, the United Nations, and all world leaders—please do not turn a blind eye. Thailand’s greed for our land and temples is destroying innocent lives. Cambodia stands for peace, but we need the world to stand with us.
