In the pulsating backdrop of Lancashire's history, where Northern Soul all-nighters and the rebellious spirit of Dexedrine-popping teens paved the way, the inevitable convergence with the burgeoning rave scene during the second summer of love in 1988 was set in motion.
As the dark satanic mills transformed into dance factories, a disenfranchised youth sought refuge in new party locations, creating a movement that stood as a stark antithesis to the selfishness of Thatcherism. However, this rebellion faced fierce opposition from law enforcement and exploitation from opportunists aiming to capitalise on the rave phenomenon.
"Warehouse" intricately weaves together the diverse experiences and adventures of a motley crew. From unexpected alliances formed by football hooligans discovering the transformative power of ecstasy, to those enticed by the allure of quick money in the rave scene, and, of course, the free-spirited souls who simply craved the ecstasy of partying all night long.
Through five compelling narratives, "Warehouse" brings these disparate individuals together, their destinies entwining towards a climactic end. As the night unfolds, a crescendo of hedonism ensues, revealing unexpected revelations and forging bonds that transcend the chaotic beats of the rave scene. The final act promises a night of revelry that becomes a canvas for personal revelations and collective awakening.
