This weekend/start of my new week, has been super busy for me. I bought a cute little end table off of FB, and refinished it. This project ended up being MORE work because the top has so much damage, so eventually I will need to add a new top to it, but for now solid black at least hides the damage and we can use it. The end table also has some distressed work to "rustic" it up on the legs, drawer edges, and top edges, but its kind of hard to see in the photo.. I may go back and add a little more on the edges just to add some more detail though! I am a sucker for distressed pieces.
Next, I also stripped 15+ layers of paint off my window in our VERY wip master room (second image with my end table flip), to get it down to the real wood, and then I sanded it and stained it dark walnut. I still need to finish painting our room alabaster white, and also our black accent wall, but that will be later this month hopefully lol
I am also now in the process of removing all the paint on my dining room window (started tonight and will share photos next post), so I can prepare to add pine board trim around the window, and eventually shiplap!
This house renovation has been A LOT of work already, stressful, and exhausting. I am reminding myself that each project, and new piece I refinish, is a step closer to my dream home, and good things take time.
I am forever thankful for my little project home. I'm so excited to be the person who gave the ugly home, no one saw potential in, a chance to become something special!
Also, I did record some of this, but I had no idea my camera died DURING all of it, so I will have some snippets to share next youtube video, but sadly not all. I thankfully, have plenty of photos to share though, so next post I will show yall how AWFUL the dining room window has been.. the paint layers were much worse, and its been brutal lol It should be a crime to paint this many layers on antique pine!!!
