The Rodong Sinmun is the official North Korean newspaper of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. It was first published in November 1st, 1945 under the name Chǒngro. However, in September of 1946, the group changed its name to Rodong Sinmun. In 2012, the Rodong Sinmun released its first articles in English. The Rodong Sinmun has been frequently regarded as the official North Korean viewpoint of worldwide happenings.
