The Republic of Korea Air Force’s aerospace science event, the 46th “Space Challenge,” has been postponed by one day due to rain forecasts and will now be held on September 14. At Gimhae Air Base, the Black Eagles air show will take place twice on the 14th, at 10:30 a.m. and 2:50 p.m., along with planned aerospace experience programs, exhibitions, and performances.

Busan City launched the “Sajik Baseball Stadium Reconstruction Expert Advisory Panel” at City Hall today and held its first meeting. Through this initiative, the city plans to strengthen transparency and expertise while also seeking additional funding, and the city council has approved a 279.4 billion won reconstruction plan.

The Busan District Court’s Criminal Division 5 sentenced a Thai man in his 20s to 10 years in prison for smuggling more than 60,000 tablets of a new synthetic drug worth 1.2 billion won. He was accused of importing the drugs through international mail in May. Prosecutors had sought an 18-year sentence, but the court imposed 10 years, citing the large volume involved and the serious social harm caused by drug crimes.

부산지법 형사5부는 12억 원 상당의 신종 마약 6만여 정을 밀수한 혐의로 태국인 20대 A씨에게 징역 10년을 선고했습니다. A씨는 지난 5월 국제우편으로 마약을 들여온 혐의를 받았으며, 검찰은 징역 18년을 구형했습니다. 재판부는 수입량이 많고 사회적 해악이 크다며 중형을 내렸습니다.

The Busan Metropolitan Council closed its 331st extraordinary session today. During the 15-day session, a total of 128 items were reviewed, of which 111 were approved as originally proposed. The third supplementary budget for 2025 has been finalized at about 18.70 trillion won, and the next session is scheduled to open on November 4 for 43 days.

부산시의회는 오늘 제331회 임시회를 폐회했습니다. 15일간 진행한 이번 임시회에서는 128건을 심사했으며 이 가운데 111건을 원안 가결했습니다. 2025년도 제3회 추경 예산안은 18조 6,989억 원으로 확정됐으며, 다음 회기는 11월 4일부터 43일간 열릴 예정입니다.

The city of Busan announced that it has completed the installation of a 3.5 km rainwater and sewage separation wall along a 1.7 km section of the covered Bujeon Stream. The project, which began in October last year and is set for completion on the 15th, also removed four sand traps and two embankments to improve water quality and flow. As a result, an average of 7,000 tons of clean water per day from the Seongjigok reservoir will now flow directly into the Dongcheon Stream without passing through sewage treatment.

부산시는 부전천 복개 하천 1.7km 구간에 총연장 3.5km 규모의 빗물·오수 분리벽 설치를 완료했다고 밝혔습니다. 공사는 지난해 10월 시작돼 오는 15일 준공 예정이며, 모래막이 못 4곳과 둑 2곳도 철거해 수질과 흐름을 개선했습니다. 이로써 성지곡 수원지의 맑은 물 하루 평균 7천t이 하수처리 없이 동천으로 직접 유입됩니다.

The city of Busan, together with its 16 districts and counties, will conduct the 2025 Community Welfare Survey from September 15 to October 17. The survey will cover 8,260 households across the city, through one-on-one interviews conducted by professional surveyors. It will examine household conditions, social security demands and others, while also reflecting current issues such as the rise in single-person households, the risk of solitary deaths and more. The results will be used as foundational data for establishing the 2027–2030 Community Welfare Plan.

부산시는16개 구·군과 함께 오는 15일부터 10월 17일까지 ‘2025년 지역사회보장 조사’를 실시합니다. 부산 전역 8,260가구 (저소득층·장애인 등 특수계층 100가구 포함)를 대상으로 전문 조사원이 1대1 면접 방식으로 진행합니다. 가구 현황, 사회보장 수요 등을 조사하며, 1인 가구 증가와 고독사 위험 등 현안도 반영했습니다. 결과는 2027(~2030)년 지역사회보장계획 수립에 활용됩니다.

Busan has been selected as the World Design Capital (WDC) for 2028. Busan was selected as the World Design Capital (WDC), becoming the second city in Korea after Seoul and the 11th city worldwide. At the London assembly, Mayor Park Heong-joon stated that he would make Busan ‘an international design hub city that embraces everyone.’

부산이 2028년 세계디자인수도(WDC)로 선정됐습니다. 부산은 서울에 이어 두 번째, 전 세계 11번째 WDC로 선정됐으며 런던 총회에 참석한 박형준 시장은 부산을 ‘모두를 포용하는 국제 디자인 중심 도시로 만들겠다고 밝혔습니다.

Busan City announced it will provide support to Gangneung, which has declared a disaster due to severe drought. The city and the Busan Waterworks Headquarters have already sent 10,000 bottles of bottled water “Sunsu 365” on the 3rd and plan to supply a total of 50,000 bottles this month, along with donating 100 million won from the disaster relief fund. The Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters has also deployed three water tank trucks to assist on-site.

부산시는 극심한 가뭄으로 재난 사태가 선포된 강릉시 지원에 나섰습니다. 시와 부산시상수도사업본부는 지난 3일 병입수 ‘순수365’ 1만 병을 보내는 등 이달 중에 총 5만 병 분량 (90톤) 의 생수를 지원하기로 하고 재해 구호기금 1억원을 기탁하기로 했습니다. 부산시 소방재난본부는 물탱크차 3대를 투입해 현지에서 지원 활동을 이어가고 있습니다.

The proposal to designate Geumjeongsan as a national park and finalize its park plan has passed the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s review in its original form. Following last month’s approval by the Korea Forest Service, only the final review by the Ministry of Environment, scheduled for next month, remains. Geumjeongsan, known for its scenic landscapes as well as ecological, historical, and cultural resources, is one of Busan’s representative mountains. Discussions on its designation as a national park began in 2005, and in 2019 Busan City officially requested it from the ministry.

금정산 국립공원 지정 및 공원계획 결정안이 국토부 심의를 원안 통과했습니다. 지난달 산림청 심의에 이어 다음 달 열릴 예정인 환경부의 최종 심의만 남은 상태입니다. 금정산은 천혜의 자연경관과 생태·역사·문화 자원을 지닌 부산의 대표 명산으로, 국립공원 지정 논의는 2005년부터 시작돼 2019년 부산시가 환경부에 공식 건의했습니다.

An old water pipe burst near the Jangnim Industrial Complex intersection in Saha-gu District at around 5:45 a.m. today, leading to partial traffic control. The Busan Waterworks Headquarters is carrying out repair work, which is expected to continue until tomorrow morning. Police said two of the four lanes are closed, causing heavy congestion in both directions on the Eulsukdo Bridge and Eulsukdo-daero, and urged drivers to take detours.

오늘 오전 5시 45분 쯤 사하구 장림산단 교차로 인근에서 노후 상수도관이 파손돼 일부 구간 교통이 통제됐습니다. 부산시상수도사업본부는 복구공사를 진행 중이며, 공사는 내일 오전까지 이어질 예정입니다. 경찰은 편도 4차로 중 2개 차로가 통제돼 을숙도대교와 을숙도대로 양방향 정체가 심하다며 시민들에게 우회를 당부했습니다.

Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Jeon Jae-soo said at today’s press briefing marking the new government’s first 100 days that interior construction of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries’ new office will begin next month, with the relocation to Busan to be completed by December. He added that rental support and tailored consulting will be provided for relocated staff, and that a council will be formed to attract shipping companies. Minister Jeon also said a new advisory committee for Arctic route expansion will be established, strengthening the foundation for Busan as a maritime hub.

전재수 해양수산부 장관은 오늘 열린 새정부 100일 기자간담회에서 다음 달 부터 해수부 이전 청사 내부 공사에 착수해 12월까지 부산 이전을 완수하겠다고 말했습니다. 이전 직원들을 위해 전월세 지원과 맞춤형 컨설팅을 제공하고, 해운선사 유치를 위한 협의회도 구성할 계획입니다. 또 북극항로 진출을 위한 자문위원회 신설 등 해양수도권 조성 기반을 단단히 다져 나가겠다고 말했습니다.
