Some places never really leave you.
This trip back to Daejeon reminded me that places don’t just hold memories they hold pieces of who we once were.
From exploring Korea as a student in the small city I proudly called home, to now hustling through life in Seoul with my corporate job... it’s a quiet reminder of how far I’ve come.
People often call Daejeon a “boring city,” but to me, it was never boring. It was peaceful. It was home.
It was university lectures, friendships that felt like family, spontaneous 3:00 AM walks to CU, late-night conversations, endless laughter, and the kind of memories you don’t realize you’re making until they become stories.
Every corner has a piece of my journey.
Looking back, I’m grateful not just for the places I visited, but for the person I became because of them.
Daejeon, you’ll always be home to my heart. 🤍
