I asked an LLM how long it will take to replace my current income with dividends from PH Stocks. Here's what it said:
"Timeline to β±8M target:
Year 0: Start from β±0.
Year 10: ~β±2.1M.
Year 15: ~β±4.1M.
Year 20: ~β±7.2M.
Year 22: ~β±8.7M (target achieved).
π Roughly 22 years to replace your salary, if you save β±12K/month."
Absolutely heartbreaking. I cannot afford to wait 22 years for this plan. So I took this as a challenge. How can I shorten this timeframe? I have to improve my cashflow. I cannot rely solely on my full time salary to execute this plan. So, side hustles. Sleepless nights, sure. But the vision is long and the motivation is deep. I have to achieve this financial freedom. For me, my daughter, my family.
I started investing in the stock market (mainly PSEi) in 2021. However, I went on a long hiatus because of the pandemic, among other personal things. I was slowly paying off debts so there was no room for investing. I turned 30 this year and just resumed where I left off. Portfolio almost nonexistent. Created stop-loss for a couple of stocks that went downhill since 2021 (ACEN, DITO, MM). Lesson learned the hard way. I was easily swayed by hype stocks back then.
Now, I'm launching 2 portfolios for dividend investing and capital appreciation. Current port is still a bit lonely with RCR, GMA7, and MBT. But HERE WE GO. Ride with me in this journey to financial freedom. π₯°πΈ
