The Yeungnam Observer is recruiting international guest reporters!
The Yeungnam Observer is an English-language newspaper affiliated with the Yeungnam University Media and Press Center. This semester, the Observer is looking for international guest reporters who can share diverse stories about Yeungnam University and university life from an international student’s perspective.
1. Eligibility and Number of Recruits
1) Eligibility: International students currently enrolled at Yeungnam University (Undergraduate students, graduate students, and exchange students)
2) Number of Positions: a few
3) Qualifications
- Students who can communicate and write fluently in English
- Students who will be enrolled at Yeungnam University during the Fall 2026 semester and can stay in Korea throughout the activity period. (Oct.1 – Nov.30)
- Students with a strong interest in Yeungnam University and media activities.
2. Application Period
August 26, 2026 (Wed) - September 25, 2026 (Fri), 11:59 p.m.
3. How to Apply
Complete the application form and submit it via the Google Form.

4. Activities
1) Activity Period: October 1, 2026 (Thu) - November 30, 2026 (Mon)
2) Activities
- Write a column on a topic of your choice related to university life for Page 2 of The Yeungnam Observer.
- Attend the Observer planning and editorial meetings. (attendance at least once is required)
- Suggest article ideas and share opinions from an international student’s perspective.
5. Benefits

- English-language editing and guidance from a native English-speaking professor
- An official certificate of participation bearing the seal of the director of the Yeungnam University Media and Press Center upon completion of the activities
