Dear 19 year old me…

I do not think anyone could have predicted my life going this way. A baby abandoned on the street in the middle of Uganda even living past 1 is a miracle. Let alone everything that’s happened in my life since… from finding a family to love to then growing up in the UK and having as normal a life as possible but since being a baby i’ve been aware life is so fragile.

That underlying anxiety has felt like a ticking clock which has forced me to do some incredible things as I have been unable to see my future so I’ve worked to bring my future into a reality. Being a teenager has been quite literally one of the most beautifully chaotic things. I must say my teenage years feel fragmented as suddenly losing my Dad, a real anchor in my life. unexpectedly no warning one morning when I was 15. all of a sudden that security that ticking clock grew so loud that it felt like the clock would break before I could even turn 18. I was made to feel so old at 15. Now i’m turning 20 & I feel like I was just born yet 15 year old me really I would not be here without him.

nobody could ever understand the strength it took and takes for me to get up everyday. From being 15 and my world collapsing in on it self I made a choice. I was not going to wait for someone to give me the life I know I deserve I will give it to myself.

at 15 I decided to start posting and that lead me to many of you, lead me to Taylor Swift liking my post, I have gotten to work with so many of my favourite brands and people

I really understood what Lorde said about being 19 and on fire I felt like my childhood was burning up before my eyes which is exciting but scary. a day into 19 I was contacted to star on a TV Show… which would end up being filmed in Japan… I have had the chance to travel around the world I’ve been to nearly every continent in a year… I learnt we’re people not passports. Love is Universal

God bless them 20 somethings my 1st decade without my dad & my 1st entering it with you.
