Please join me in congratulating my husband, Terry on completing ALC! This wasnāt just a box to check. This was a long journey marked by delays, disappointments, and unexpected obstacles.
He stayed focused. He stayed faithful. He kept showing up, even when the timeline didnāt make sense and the path forward wasnāt clear. While others may have gotten discouraged, he chose growth. He turned waiting into preparation and setbacks into stepping stones. And nowāhis moment has finally come.
This victory is not just well-earnedāitās a reflection of his character, his drive, and his unwavering commitment to becoming the very best version of himself in and out of uniform.
One year ago, we were toldāwithout warningāthat his P-status never went through. We had spent an entire year waiting patiently, not realizing the paperwork hadnāt been processed correctly.
This year, he submitted packets for both OCS and Warrant Officerābelieving either could be the next stepābut for reasons only God knows, both were denied. Terry was more than qualified this season for both tracks. Then, out of nowhere, last month, a window opened for ALC, and he jumped on it without hesitation.
It reminded us of this truth: Godās timing is always perfect. What felt like rejection was actually divine redirection. We had to trust that God closes doors weāre not meant to walk through, and opens the ones that lead us right into His will. I donāt know exactly what God has in store for Terry as he steps into his upcoming ranks, on this new career trackābut I do know it aligns perfectly with the purpose and plan God has prepared for him.
Watching him rise, even when things didnāt go as originally planned, has inspired me beyond words. His heart for this life, for our family, and for service is unmatched.
Iām so, so proud of him. And Iām endlessly grateful to be by his side for moments like thisāmoments where faith, favor, and hard work collide.
You did it, love. And I couldnāt be more proud.
