법무부는 ‘25.12.1.부터 ‘26.2.28.까지(90일간) 자진신고 후 출국하는 불법체류 외국인에게 범칙금을 면제하고, 입국규제를 유예하는 「불법체류 외국인 특별 자진출국 제도」를 시행합니다.
The Ministry of Justice will implement the “Special Voluntary Departure System for Illegal Foreign Residents” from December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026 (90 days).
During this period, illegal foreign residents who voluntarily report themselves and leave Korea will be exempt from fines and entry restrictions will be postponed.

South Korea to Recruit More Foreign Workers to Ease Labor Shortage in Small Companies — 5th Round Application Dates Announced .

The Ministry of Employment and Labor of South Korea has announced a new round of recruitment for foreign workers (E-9 visa) to address the growing labor shortage in small and medium-sized enterprises.

According to the ministry, applications for the 5th round of employment permits will be accepted from November 24 to 28 at local employment offices across the country.

A total of 9,326 foreign workers will be hired under this phase, distributed across various sectors as follows:
• Manufacturing: 6,530
• Shipbuilding: 250
• Agriculture and Livestock: 940
• Fishery: 832
• Construction: 178
• Service sector: 596

If the demand for workers exceeds the quota, an additional 32,000 slots may be allocated for adjustment, the ministry stated.

The allocation of foreign workers will be based on criteria such as workplace safety, labor management, and housing facilities. Companies with poor safety records, labor law violations, or fatal accidents will receive negative evaluations.

Employers seeking to hire foreign workers must first attempt to recruit local workers for seven days. If unsuccessful, they can apply through nearby employment offices or via the Work24 website.

The employment permit results will be announced on December 12, and official permits will be issued between December 15 and 22.

The Ministry of Employment and Labor expressed confidence that this initiative will help reduce labor shortages in small and medium-sized industries and support stable business operations.

- Monthly Basic Wage(월 최저 임금): 2,060,740 won
(* 209 Hours/ Month, 5 days a week, 40 hours/ week basis)

- Yearly Basic Wage(연 최저 임금): 24,728,880 won

- (F-2-99 VISA): Minimum Monthly Wage in 2023(2,010,580 won)*18= 36,190,440 won, in case of applying from E-7-4.

K-Point E74 VISA (케이 포인트 E74 숙련기능인력비자 시작)
Starting from today, K-Point E74 visa application has started.

You may apply for K-Point E74 visa through Hi-Korea website or we may delegate your application using our Hi-Korea website account.

1. Number of Selecting Person: 30,000 persons until this quota is full.

2. Mandatory Requirements:
① 4 Years with E-9 visa;
② Working 1 year at a Company now and a recommendation letter from your company;
③ 200 points including additional Points;
④ TOPIK(KIIP) Level 2 or 41 points at Pre-Test(사전평가);
⑤ 2 Years’ Average Income: 25 mil won(agriculture, livestock, fishery worker: 24 mil won); and
⑥ Working Contract for 2 years with 26 mil won(25 mil won for agriculture, livestock, fishery worker: 24 mil won)

** This doc has been received from 1345 Immigration Contact Center but there is no update at Hi Korea yet.
