South Korea 🇰🇷 has returned to first place in the latest Bloomberg Innovation Index, regaining the crown from Germany as the U.S. slipped out of the top 10 altogether.

The index analyzes dozens of criteria including research and development spending, manufacturing capability and concentration of high-tech companies. Korea has now topped the index for seven of the nine years that it’s been published.

The U.S., which once led the ranking in 2013, dropped this year two places to 11th 🤔

After a weeklong trial, a California jury has concluded that ’s “Dark Horse” is a copyright infringement 🎼..
The lawsuit was brought by Christian rapper Marcus Gray (), professionally known as Flame, who asserted that Perry’s 2013 hit tread on his own work titled “Joyful Noise.”
Most copyright cases either settle or are dismissed before ever getting to trial, but “Dark Horse” joins “Blurred Lines” and “Stairway to Heaven” as songcraft that’s been put to a jury this decade.

New York City takes the top spot again as the best city in America🗽
Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco round out the top four, all same as last year. But the surprise was that the nation’s capital gained six spots, rising to No. 5 this year.
The results come from rankings from Resonance Consultancy, a specialist in the destination-branding industry. Las Vegas, last year’s No. 5 city, fell two spots to No. 7.
To determine the list of best big and small cities in America, Resonance collected public data on cities that focused on 23 different criteria, including crime rates, air quality, housing affordability, entertainment offerings, cultural diversity, and economic vitality. The survey also takes into account social-media metrics — check-ins, search results, reviews, and posts — to identify how a city tells its story.

midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan () will not play in the Final against on Wednesday, May 29th. It is understood the Armenian feared for his safety in Baku, Azerbaijan...
As a result of political tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Mkhitaryan has missed club matches played in Azerbaijan in the past. There are no diplomatic relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan because of a longstanding conflict over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region. Azerbaijan usually does not allow foreign nationals of Armenian descent to enter the country.
“Micki has been a key player in our run to the final so this is a big loss for us from a team perspective,” read an Arsenal statement. “We’re also very sad that a player will miss out on a major European final in circumstances such as this, as it is something that comes along very rarely in a footballer’s career.”
Mkhitaryan, has played 11 games in the Europa League for Arsenal this season. The 30-year-old is also captain of the Armenian national team and their record scorer with 27 goals in 82 games.

Just days after announced that it would offer next-day shipping on select items to its Prime members, fired back with the news that it could have orders (over $35) at your door in 24 hours or less, too, without a membership fee. Walmart says this is not in response to Amazon’s news, but rather had plans already in progress.
According to the , Walmart has said that next-day shipping will actually lower its delivery cost since customers “will only be able to buy items available in warehouses near their homes and all items in an order will arrive together” in one box.
This offer will initially be available to customers only in Phoenix and Las Vegas beginning on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, and will then expand to customers in Southern California over the next few days. The rollout will then continue “gradually” over the months ahead, with a goal of reaching 75% of the U.S. population — including 40 of the top 50 U.S. metros — by year-end.
