Established in 2016, Seoul Community Radio (SCR) is an online music broadcasting platform at the centre of Asia’s fast-growing electronic music community. Since formation, the South Korea-based station has helped to inspire and nurture new DJ and artistic talent from home and abroad. Our goal to incubate fresh sounds and new faces has seen SCR co-create a regional network of like-minded radio stat

ions and collaborate with some of the most forward-thinking brands across music, fashion and technology.. After nearly four years in our inaugural home, SCR recently opened ‘Studio Two’ - a unique radio + bar concept space in Itaewon. Studio Two will for the first time allow access to the public for certain events and will serve as culture centre for Seoul’s diverse music communities, hosting live shows, pop-ups, workshops and other artistic endeavours.

29.11 🔜SCR Origins Presents Goldie

아마도 2025년의 마지막 대형 이벤트로, SCR은 전자음악 역사상 가장 상징적이고, 재능 있으며, 중요한 아티스트 중 한 명인 Goldie를 소개하게 되어 자랑스럽습니다.
그는 그래피티 아티스트로 활동을 시작했으며, 이후 Rufige Kru라는 이름으로 음악을 제작하면서 1992년 자신의 레이블 Metalheadz(DJ Storm, Kemistry와 공동 설립)를 통해 발매된 “Terminator” 같은 트랙으로 당시 막 태동하던 정글(jungle) 장르를 한 단계 끌어올렸습니다.
그리고 올해 발매 30주년을 맞이한 그의 대표작 ‘Timeless’ (1995) 는, Goldie가 정글에서 발전시켜 만들어낸 드럼앤베이스(drum & bass) 장르가 전 세계로 확산되는 결정적인 전환점으로 남아 있습니다. 이후 그는 David Bowie, KRS One, Noel Gallagher, Skepta 등과 협업하며, 프로듀서이자 DJ, 그리고 배우(“Snatch”, “007 - The World is Not Enough” 출연)로도 활약한 영국 전자음악계의 거대한 인물입니다.
최근 한국과 아시아 전역에서 정글 / 드럼앤베이스 사운드가 빠르게 인기를 얻고 있는 가운데, SCR은 과거와 현재, 그리고 미래를 잇는 특별한 밤을 위해 엄선된 로컬 라인업과 함께 11월 29일 .seoul 에서 Goldie를 모시게 되었습니다.
