This Eid al-Adha is going to be especially emotional for my daughter Arisha. For weeks, she is caring two beautiful goats — feeding them, talking to them, playing with them from morning to night. They became more than just animals to her… they became her companions, her little friends.

Tomorrow, when she wakes up, they’ll be gone.🥺

She doesn’t fully understand the meaning of Qurbani yet, but she does understand love. And in her own innocent way, she’s giving up something she truly loves — and that is the essence of sacrifice.

Her quiet strength and love remind me of what this Eid is truly about: sacrifice, compassion, and faith. May Allah accept the sacrifices of all, and bless our children with gentle hearts and strong spirits.

𝗔𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳𝟳 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗦 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗮𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁

- A local fire official said the crash could have been caused by a bird strike and weather conditions, but the exact cause is not yet known. The plane involved in the crash was a Boeing 737-800 flown by Korean budget airline Jeju Air.
