since 2014, Seoul. The world fastest changing city based on drastic economic progress. And once a small city in Asia to hottest nightlife spot. The very start of club life which expanded very fast, is the small clubs in Hongdae area in mid-90′s. Against the nightlife focused on adult entertainment, theses clubs aim for various indie culture and bring up many DJ’s and relevant musics. But it loses competitiveness due to the massive clubs in Gangnam area. Similar to the birth of Electronica, once the club culture was full of the generation who fascinated by this music as an alternative to pop culture in the underground. Now it becomes to major scene, but losing its originality on the other side at the same time. The massive size clubs which have over 500 capacity are more than 10 just in Gangnam area. There are full of party people every weekend and so many festivals held in a year compare to 5 to 10 years ago. It seems club culture has grown fast by quantity. However, paradoxically, it’s getting smaller that we can really enjoy the real culture and various music. We against the current movement to the commercial, try to be back to the basic, and make the contents which has the pleasure from the finest music itself. And that’s what you watch from MixMixTV. 급속한 경제 성장을 통해 세계에서 가장 빠르게 변하는 도시로, 아시아의 변방에서 가장 핫한 Nightlife 스팟으로 변모하고 있는 곳, 그 중 최근 가장 성장하고 있는 클럽 문화의 시작은 90년대 중반 홍대에 위치한 작은 클럽들로 거슬러 올라간다.

음악 보다는 술과 유흥에 치우친 문화에서 벗어나 좀 더 다양하고 실험적인 인디문화를 지향했던 세대들이 모여 있던 문화적 공간들은 속속들이 들어서는 대형 클럽들에 의해 설 자리를 잃고 있다. 강남을 중심으로 500명 이상을 한번에 수용할 수 있는 이른바 대형클럽은 10개가 넘는다. 주말마다 이곳을 가득 채우는 인파들과 과거와는 비교도 없을 만큼 많아진 페스티벌들로 인해 관련 씬이 양적으로는 충분히 성장하고 있는 듯 보일 수 있으나, 들여다보면, 다양한 음악과 문화를 소비할 수 있는 공간은 줄어들고 있는 현실이다.
