Do you want to know the differences and functions of particles 이/가 and 을/를?

UPDATE: Many of us are confused whenever we use the particles 이/가 and 을/를. But worry no more! We will discuss the difference of two important particles in this lesson. Let’s get started by knowing their differences and functions.

이/가- A particle that is being used when we are emphasizing the subject of the sentence. But who is the subject?
A subject is the one who does the verb or doer of the action in the sentence.

이 is being used when the last letter of the word it follows is consonant

Example:
샘이 사과를 샀어요
Sam bought apple
Notice that Sam that has last consonant letter 받침 ‘ㅁ’ which follows by 이 and he is the doer of the action.

가 is being used when the last letter of the word it follows is vowel

Example
고양이가 생선을 잘 먹고 있어요
The cat eats fish very well
Notice that the 고양이 that has last vowel letter ‘ㅣ’ which follows by 가

Let’s now discuss the particle 을/를

을/를 is a particle that is being used when we are emphasizing the object in the sentence. But what is object?
Object is the receiver of the action in a sentence by a subject

을 is being used when the last letter of the word it follows is consonant

Example:
어제 근처 있는 마켓에서 예쁜 신발을 샀어요
I bought this shoes in the nearby market yesterday
Notice that the 신발 that has last consonant letter ‘ㄹ’ follows by 을

를 is being used when the last letter of the word is vowel

Example
미국 햄버거를 너무 맛있어요
American burger is very delicious
Notice that the 햄버거 that has last vowel letter ‘ㅓ’ follows by 를

Make your own sentence using these particles 💕

What is the grammar rule of Korean? Is it same as English grammar?
We tend to think that Korean alphabet or grammar and the common alphabet or grammar (particularly English) are same. But NO! They are not the same.
In Korean, grammar is in SOV. Or known as SUBJECT+OBJECT+VERB
What is Subject by the way? Subject is the one who does the verb
What is the object? Object is the one who receives the verb
What is verb? Verb is an action word

For example of a SOV grammar or Korean grammar
Eng). Anna gives it to Yuri
Kor). 안나가 (Subject) 유리를 (Object) 줘요 (give *verb *formal)

Compare to English, (SVO) form, Korean has SOV form of grammar

Note: This is only basic grammar rule and TOPIC and SUBJECT are way different.

A friendly reminder for Korean learners out there

▶ I received few messages about
" translate this in Korean alphabet" When I was new in learning Korean, I studied some basic expression such as Hi, Thank you, I'm sorry, ... then, I tried to memorized all the letters for about 1 hour. And tried to analyzed how does korean words work!
*PS: My first ever book before has no explanation about how to construct Korean words*
So, after trying hard, at last I made it.

Guys, I know most of you are having a hard time to learn new language. But then, if you are really determined to learn, then lack of stuffs or lack of time to study are not hindrance for you to learn.

And another thing, please! Never depend on 'ROMANIZED' word! Most of Korean learners are having a hard time to read correctly because they were using romanized words. I don't ever advice you to try it. It won't help you. Instead, STUDY KOREAN ALPHABET, TRY TO READ SOME BASIC SENTENCES LIKE I DID AND ANALYZE HOW DOES KOREAN ALPHABET WORK ^^ Your work hard will pay off for sure :) Good day guys
