Kuwait Sets New Fees for All Entry Visas and Residency Permits Under Executive Regulations..
The Executive Regulations of the Foreign Residency Law Decree have defined the fees for all types of entry visas to .
Article 39 outlines the fees for entry visas, residency permits, and other services provided by the General Department of Residency Affairs.
The regulation sets a fee of KD10 for nine types of visit visas, calculated per month:
- Government visit
- Commercial visit
- Family visit
- Private visit
- Medical treatment visit
- Multiple-entry visit
- Tourism visit
- Commercial activity visit
- Cultural or social activity visit
A fee of KD10 also applies to the following three types of visas:
- Transit entry visa
- Entry visa for transport vehicle drivers (trucks and buses)
-Emergency entry visa
A fee of KD20 is specified for five categories:
1. Government sector employment – Article 17
2. Private sector employment – Article 18
3. Residency for foreign students – Article 23
4. First-time residency for persons previously classified as illegal residents after obtaining foreign passports, retired military personnel from the same category, and families of foreign martyrs – Article 30
5. Religious personnel, including imams, preachers, muezzins of mosques, and Quran memorizers– Article 31
A fee of KD10 applies to two categories:
1. Residency for domestic workers and equivalent categories in Kuwaiti households – Article 20
2. Foreign widows or divorcees of Kuwaiti citizens who have children from them – Article 28
A fee of KD50 is set for three categories:
1. Foreign partner – Article 19
2. Foreign investor – Article 21
3. Foreign property owner – Article 25
A fee of KD500 is specified for self-sponsorship residency under Article 24.
-Family-Joining Fees
Article 39, Section 3, sets the fee for joining a family (spouse and children) at KD20 for:
- Government sector employment – Article 17
- Private sector employment – Article 18
- Students – Article 23
A fee of KD40 applies to:
- Foreign partner – Article 19
- Foreign investor – Article 21
- Foreign property owner – Article 25
- Religious personnel and Husseiniya preachers – Article 31
The fee is KD100 for family-joining under self-sponsorship (Article 24).
Family-Joining for Non-Spouse/Non-Children
Section 4 specifies fees for ten categories:
1. Foreign children of a Kuwaiti mother who obtained citizenship through marriage (KD20)
2. Foreign wife of a Kuwaiti citizen and foreign husband of a Kuwaiti woman – Article 26 (KD10)
3. Foreign children of a Kuwaiti woman by origin – Article 27 (exempt)
4. Joining a family for persons other than spouse and children – Article 29 (KD300 )
5. Wife and children of former illegal residents who obtained foreign passports, including retired military personnel (KD20)
6. Wife and children of foreign martyrs (KD20)
7. Foreign children of Kuwaiti citizens (KD10)
8. Foreign parents of Kuwaiti citizens (KD10)
9. Foreign wife and children of a GCC male citizen (KD20)
10. Foreign husband and children of a GCC female citizen (KD20) #الكويت
