KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: The Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya declared on Saturday that two
Kuwaiti citizens who participated in the Al-Sumud flotilla to relieve Gaza have been released and are on
their way back home. In a statement to KUNA, Minister Al-Yahya said the department personnel have been
closely following up since the first moment on various developments concerning the Flotilla participants’
detention. He has affirmed that the released Kuwaiti nationals are in good condition and is exerting follow-up
efforts to free a third Kuwaiti citizen who participated in Al-Sumud flotilla to secure his safe comeback.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday expressed gratitude of the State of Kuwait for Bahrain, Jordan,
Turkiye, and other brotherly and friendly states for their cooperation that led to the release of Kuwaiti citizens.
The ministry alluded to the fresh release of two Kuwaiti nationals who were on board of the humanitarian
Sumud flotilla to relieve Gaza. In the statement, the ministry affirmed that all efforts would be exerted for the
release of a third Kuwaiti who remained in detention.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: The General Department of Criminal Investigation, through the Residence Affairs
Investigations Department, has dismantled a domestic labor recruitment office in Fahaheel after
uncovering its involvement in human trafficking and the illegal sale of visas. The operation is part of the Ministry
of Interior’s ongoing campaign to combat organized crime and curb illegal labor practices in the country.
Authorities launched the case following intelligence reports suggesting that the office was engaged in selling
visas, illegally sheltering workers, and exploiting them for profit. Acting on this information, a joint security task
force was formed in coordination with the Public Authority for Manpower’s Domestic Labor Department. After
securing legal authorization from the Public Prosecution, security officers executed a raid and ambush on the
premises.
The operation led to the arrest of the office’s managers as well as 29 female workers of Asian nationality who
were found inside the office’s residence. During the inspection, investigators seized receipts, financial waivers,
and ready-to-use contracts. Evidence revealed that the office had been charging KD 120 for each visa, before
reselling the workers’ contracts for amounts ranging between KD 1,100 and KD 1,300—on top of official
government fees.
Testimonies from the rescued workers confirmed that they had been confined to the office residence, forced
into labor, and subjected to mistreatment. They were immediately transferred to a safe shelter, while the
suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution. The case has been registered under No. (2025/727 Criminal
Investigation Felonies) on charges of human trafficking and visa trafficking. All individuals accused have been
placed in Central Prison for a 21-day detention pending further investigation.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 2: Kuwait Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya has stated that the ministry is
closely and attentively following developments surrounding the detention of Kuwaiti citizens who were
participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla. In an official statement, Minister Al-Yahya affirmed that the ministry
was exerting every possible effort to ensure the safety of the detained citizens and to secure their immediate
release. He emphasized that preserving the well-being of Kuwaiti citizens is a top priority, and the ministry will
leave no stone unturned in fulfilling this responsibility. Citizen Khaled Musaed Al-Abduljader appeared in a video
clip in which he confirmed he was kidnapped by Israeli occupation forces. He stated, “I am Khaled Musaed Al-
Abduljader, a Kuwaiti citizen. If you are watching this video, it means I have been kidnapped by the occupying
Zionist entity, despite our trip being peaceful to break the siege on Gaza. I urge the state to take immediate
action to secure my release.”

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 14: Director of the Electronic Services Department at the General Department of Residency
Colonel Abdulaziz Al-Kandari says there is no ban on the entry of any nationality to Kuwait except for Israeli
nationals, as there is a clear Amiri Decree stating that Kuwait is in a state of war with Israel. He stressed that
every decision taken by the Ministry of Interior is based on thorough studies that consider both immediate and
long-term implications, with regulations developed accordingly.
During a visual presentation titled “Kuwait Visa Platform... New Entry Visas” at the Government Communication
Center, Colonel Al-Kandari explained the new system that is introduced through the “Kuwait Visa” platform. He
highlighted the main updates aimed at facilitating the procedures for issuing various entry visas, noting that
the new electronic visa system enhances Kuwait’s position as an attractive destination for tourists. Colonel Al-
Kandari began the presentation with a detailed explanation of the new entry visas, including the lists of
approved countries and professions. He explained that each visa type has specific controls and requirements
that must be met. Among the most prominent requirements for obtaining a tourist visa are that the applicant
must not be subject to any restrictions or security concerns, must pay the prescribed fees, and must submit all
required documents.
