The history of jewellery in Afghanistan dates back thousands of years, with ancient artefacts and excavations revealing a deep-rooted interest in the creation and use of jewellery throughout history.

Afghan jewellery is meticulously crafted using precious metals like gold and silver, along with gemstones such as lapis lazuli, agate, turquoise and garnet. The designs and patterns often draw inspiration from nature, myths, and cultural and religious symbols.
