Me my cousin in the South of Lebanon standing in front of the rubble of my great grandmothers house, the home my mom grew up in. I too had countless memories of long days playing hide and seek under the shade of the pine tree in the front.

I prayed to find my great grandmothers Quran, and there it was in the rubble open to 9:100.

I’m happy to see that the pine tree is still thriving and that flowers are growing in the earth. May Allah accept this small sacrifice.

I don’t realize was capturing these moments and I’m forever grateful that he did.
