الكتاب من أحدث إصدارات دار نشر الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت ضمن سلسلة الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان للنصوص العربية والإسلامية.

للمرة الأولى في التاريخ، يرى هذا العمل الرائد من القرن الرابع الهجري/العاشر الميلادي النور، مقدّمًا رؤية فريدة في تفسير الأحلام تكشف جوانب سياسية وثقافية واجتماعية من تلك الحقبة.

New from AUB Press 📖✨

“Between Home and Nowhere” is the latest release in our Comics & Graphic Narratives from the Arab World series, a powerful graphic memoir by Aya Boukhari, created as her final-year project under the supervision of Dr. Lina Ghaibeh.

Through delicate lines and raw emotion, Aya reflects on leaving Lebanon during the 2024 war, capturing themes of displacement, anxiety, and adaptation with profound honesty.

A moving visual diary that reminds us of the power of artistic storytelling in times of crisis.

نفخر بالإعلان عن صدور أول نسخة محقّقة من "تحفة الملوك في التعبير لأبي أحمد خلف السجستاني (ت 1009/399)"، وهو من أقدم النصوص العربية المعروفة في تفسير الأحلام—ومتوفر الآن ضمن سلسلة الشيخ زايد للنصوص العربية والإسلامية.

يتميّز هذا العمل بفرادته كونه من تأليف أمير في القرن العاشر الميلادي، ما يوفّر لمحة نادرة عن نظريات الأحلام، والسياسة، والحياة اليومية من منظور الحاكم. ويتجاوز الكتاب موضوع الأحلام ليكشف عن رؤى معمّقة حول الأدوار الاجتماعية، والثقافة المادية، ونظرة العالم في تلك الحقبة.

حرّرته الدكتورة لينا جمال، بمشاركة الدكتور بلال بلال الارفه لي كمحرر مشارك، ويُعيد هذا الإصدار النقدي إحياء كنز مهمل من كنوز التراث العربي والإسلامي.

We’re happy to announce the first-ever publication of “Tuḥfat al-Mulūk fī al-Taʿbīr by Abū Aḥmad Khalaf al-Sijistānī (d. 399/1009)”, one of the earliest Arabic texts on dream interpretation, now available through our Sheikh Zayed Series for Arabic and Islamic Texts.

This work unique as it’s by a tenth-century emir, offering a rare glimpse into dream theory, politics, and everyday life from the perspective of a ruler. Beyond dreams, the book reveals insights into social roles, material culture, and the worldview of the time.

Edited by Dr. Lina Jammal, with co-editor Dr. Bilal Orfali, this critical edition revives a long-overlooked treasure of Arab and Islamic heritage.
