We got a letter this week we didn’t expect.

A radio hobbyist named Jim Solatie based in Espoo, Finland, wrote to tell us he’d picked up our signal 90.5 MHz nearly 3,080km away from Beirut. On July 9th, through a rare atmospheric phenomenon called Sporadic E propagation, his antenna caught our station ending with “This is Light FM.”

He recorded it (turn on the volume to hear it). He wrote to us about it. He even invited us to visit his DX-listening club if we’re ever in Finland.
