OOBconcept's post-production team is the backbone of every film. It's where all the creative work happens. This is where we put all the elements together into one cohesive film. Red Thread's disjointed narrative has been put together and realized in a very beautifully paced manner. The deep, evocative themes of the film could never be brought to life without editing, coloring, or sound design. Our postproduction team was instrumental in making Red Thread the unique experience that it is. We owe our thanks to all of you.

There is nothing more fatal to the pride of the traditionally minded Arab man than the loss of his vitality. Many would prefer to die than to deal with the prospect of having an insurmountable physical weakness for the rest of their lives. The brave and enlightened among us understand that our spiritual growth far outweighs any degree of physical development. There is not much use in being strong and full of vitality when our souls are in a state of desolation. It is important to remember that the strength of our souls is never tested in our best moments but rather in our worst. How we deal with the darkness within us determines the level of our spiritual growth.

"The traditional Koufi calligraphy was chosen as the base for the logo, due to its rich history along with its deep connection to the history of Islamic architecture. However, since the film presents stories that are modern in essence, a modernization of the traditional Koufi form was necessary. So I modified the style to emphasize strict geometry, negative space, and minimal ornamentation. The visual language employed reflects the sombre tones and highly evocative themes of the film. It is rough and angular, which helps to convey the discomfort and tension felt throughout the film."

"After many conversations with director Ahmad Naboulsi, we explored various visual directions, but always returned to the heart of the film: three characters suspended in the aftermath of trauma. Each one carries their own fracture, and together they form a fragile constellation of memory and emotion. The wolf emerged as a haunting symbol, an echo of their shared wound, silent but ever-present" - Tracy Chahwan

We’re proud to announce that Red Thread has been selected for the International Competition at the 2025 Oak Cliff Film Festival in Dallas, Texas.

This selection marks a pivotal moment in OOBconcept’s journey. Red Thread reflects a darker, more emotional shift in our body of work, a bold, hybrid docu-fiction that experiments with form and feeling. We're grateful the Oak Cliff team recognized this vision and welcomed the film into their powerful lineup.

To everyone who has stood by OOBconcept over the years, collaborators, friends, and supporters, thank you. Your energy helped bring us to this point.

Director Ahmad Naboulsi will attend the festival in person. For those in Texas, this is a rare chance to meet him, ask questions, and explore the creative process behind Red Thread firsthand.

See you in Dallas, June 26–29.

People often make the error of thinking that their memories are truer than fiction. What they often don't realize is that with time, the line between memories and drama gets thinner. Every recollection is a reenactment that becomes injected with new understandings and artistic interpretations, so why not fully embrace the drama of recollection?
