He’s been on Youth Unplugged before, but this time Hierland Peter is back with a major update!

The Founder and CEO of HP Harvest Ltd is taking an exciting step forward in his mission to transform Saint Lucian agriculture through innovation and agro-processing.

His company’s flagship product, freeze-dried breadfruit slices made from locally sourced breadfruit, is moving into wider commercial distribution, with the product officially hitting the shelves at Massy Gourmet Supermarket from August 31st! 🇱🇨

It’s a significant milestone for an idea built around reducing agricultural waste, creating new markets for our farmers, extending the shelf life of local produce, and making traditional Caribbean foods more convenient for modern consumers.

So what does it take to move from an innovative idea to a product that’s actually sitting on a supermarket shelf? What has Hierland learned since we last spoke? And just how big could the market for freeze-dried Saint Lucian produce become?

🎤 THIS THURSDAY ON YOUTH UNPLUGGED

She dances. She designs. She sews. She serves her community. And somehow, she still finds time for a full-time career.

This Thursday, we sit down with 28-year-old Yaneil Joseph of Rock Hall, Marchand.

Yaneil has been dancing since kindergarten, represented Duty Free Pointe Seraphine at the 2025 St. Lucia National Carnival Queen Pageant, and is the creative force behind Young Melcher Designs, with her work appearing in pageants, Carnival and other productions across Saint Lucia.

But beyond the creativity is a young woman committed to giving back, using proceeds from her business to support students and families in need.

We talk dance, pageantry, fashion, entrepreneurship, education, community service and the balancing act behind it all.
