Lakhanda (Voice of Lanka), the FM radio channel came to be inaugurated on 15th November 1996, under the purview of SLBC. Eventually, the channel was amalgamated to ITN on 1997 April 1st. On 2001 April 7th, Lakhanda possesses a digital studio complex equipped with studio facilities with new Communication Technology. The 24-hour transmission, transmitted on FM 93.5 & 93.7 from transmitting points at Yatiyanthota, Karagahatenna, Bandarawela, Deniyaya, and Colombo. Lakhanda broadcasts programs in the Sinhala medium.
