On June 15th, our senior scout Wikum Anuhas Dissanayake carried out a heartfelt community service project at the LDU of the National Institute of Mental Health, Angoda. With the support of 11 dedicated Scouts, we cleaned the ward, painted 15 beds and walls, and added cheerful, educational decorations to brighten the environment for young patients.

This project was not just about painting walls & beds — it was about bringing hope, comfort, and healing through service.

This project showed us the true spirit of Scouting: service, leadership, and compassion.
To all fellow Scouts: you too can make a real difference. It only takes a little effort to bring a big smile to someone in need.

Library Renovation Project organized by Senior Scout Hirun Senevirathne of 42nd Colombo, Royal College was held on the 15th of June 2024 at the Soysapura Public Library, Moratuwa.
Cleaning and polishing the floor, painting walls, rearranging and cleaning book racks and furniture, installing notice boards, and planting and placing indoor plants inside the library were done with the participation of Senior Scouts of the Royal College Scout Group.
The service rendered through this Community Service Project was highly appreciated by the citizens and government authorities. We hope our initiative will surely pave the way to uplift the education of neighboring citizens while providing a safe and pleasant Library Environment.

As You Believe, So You Become
This is a fantastic photo taken at a different angle. The photographer had done several things to enhance the quality of the picture. He has chosen a low angle. The composition is also excellent with 7 people included. The moment of capture has been perfectly timed with nice facial expressions. Above all, to prevent the faces from being underexposed he has used a flash/illumination from ground level up.
