Tareeq started out DJing in the early 80’s (83’ to be precise), music was always a big part of his life and playing out at school gigs, friends parties was how it started for him. In the late 80’s he moved to Australia where he got the bulk of his experience & exposure in the Mobile, Club and Event circuits.
Tareeq returned to Sri Lanka in the late 90’s and continued his journey in Entertainment. His drive to venture out into new business opportunities got him starting up his own Audio production house and Event company. A few years later Tareeq entered the hospitality trade investing in a few lounge bars, restaurants, discotheques & some small hotels.
In 2007, he published the book, “Learn to be a DJ” and Founded the DJ Academy of Sri Lanka in 2008; both in the name of his late father, M. W. Musafer.
