Journalists must be aware of the human aspect of reporting on disasters. The Editors' Code in Clause 06. General Reporting and Writing Sub Clause 6.1 Special care should be presented when reporting issues of shocking or emotionally painful nature. Pay special attention to facts, opinions, photographs and graphics with due sensitivity and discretion.
