2024 උසස් පෙළ විභාගයේ ප්‍රතිඵල විභාග දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් නිකුත් කර තිබේ.

එම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පැවසුවේ ඒ අනුව www.doenets.lk හෝ www.results.exams.gov.lk වෙත පිවිසීමෙන් මෙම ප්‍රතිඵළ පරීක්ෂා කළ හැකි බවය.

2024 උසස් පෙළ විභාගය පසුගිය වසරේ නොවැම්බර් මස 25 වැනිදා සිට දෙසැම්බර් 31 වැනිදා දක්වා දිවයින පුරා විභාග මධ්‍යස්ථාන 2312කදී පැවැත්වුණි.

විභාගය සඳහා සමස්ත අයඳුම්කරුවන් 333,183ක් පෙනී සිටි අතර ඊට පාසල් අයදුම්කරුවන් 253,390ක් ඇතුළත්ය.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, has issued a new extraordinary gazette notification easing the ban on vehicle imports in Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, the Extraordinary Gazette titled “Imports and Exports (Control) Regulations No. 02 of 2025”, has been published and lifts the temporary suspension on importation of public passenger transport vehicles, special purpose vehicles, commercial or goods transport vehicles, personal usage vehicles and other non-motorized goods.

The Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, under the leadership of Minister Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has issued new regulations under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No. 1 of 1969. The regulations, cited as the Imports and Exports (Control) Regulations No. 01 of 2025, aim to facilitate the removal of the temporary suspension on the importation of motor vehicles.

වාහන ගෙන්වීමට අදාළව අති විශේෂ ගැසට් නිවේදනය නිකුත් කර තිබෙනවා.

ඒ මුදල්, සැලසුම් සහ ආර්ථික සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍යවරයා ලෙස ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා විසින්.

1969 ආනයන අපනයන පතන යටතේ මෙම අති විශේෂ ගැසට් නිවේදනය නිකුත් කිරීමටයි පියවර ගෙන තිබෙන්නේ.

Sri Lanka’s Parliament Speaker, Asoka Sapumal Ranwala has informed Parliament that he is resigning from the post of speaker.

The credibility of his educational qualifications is under scrutiny.

In his resignation letter he notes that although he does possess a PhD he is currently unable to obtain documents to verify his doctorate.

Asoka Ranwala prior to becoming a MP was an active voice in standing against private education institutions, frequently calling them “dilpoma/degree shops”.

GCE A/L Exam Postponed Due to Adverse Weather

The Department of Examinations has announced that the advanced level examinations scheduled for the nexr three days will be postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.

During a media briefing, Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said the examinations on November 27, 28 and 29 will not be held as scheduled.

2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination to Proceed as Scheduled

The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination will take place as planned, running from November 25 to December 20, 2024. This announcement ends recent speculation about a possible postponement.

In an official statement, the Ministry acknowledged requests from various groups to delay the exam but stressed that all necessary preparations, including the printing of question papers, establishing regional collection centers, and arranging examination venues, have already been finalized.

The Ministry noted that the exam schedule was announced on March 1, 2024, providing ample preparation time for students and schools. It emphasized that altering the dates now would disrupt the national examination calendar, impacting the scheduling of the 2024 G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) exam and other academic timelines.

Highlighting the logistical challenges of rescheduling, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the academic calendar's integrity and ensuring fairness for all candidates. The A/L examination will, therefore, proceed as planned.
