It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marhoom Mohideen (Mukthar) of Obeysekarapura, Rajagiriya.

Beloved husband of Fathima Zareena.

Loving father of Imtiyas, Siraj, Fiyaz (Shiyam), Shihana, Shanaz, Rizana, & Zeeniya.

Beloved father-in-law of Thuwan, Nihar (Maligawatta Youth), Jawan (Maligawatta Youth), Ramzy, Raseena (Malwana), Ishara, & Rizwana (Welipenna).

The Janaza will leave from the residence at 4.00 PM today (09 June 2026) for burial at Maligawatta.

We kindly request all relatives, friends, to remember the Marhoom in their Duas and pray that Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, grants him His mercy, and admits him to Jannatul Firdous.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Al Haj A.S. Chunchie and Hajiani Arsan Chunchie.

A dearly loved sister of the late Malika Chunchie, late Kumala Hadgie (Doe), late Hajiani Linga Miskin (Lea), late Rio Chunchie,
late Carmila Jayah, late Carmil Chunchie, late Jeena Hadgie, late Rohan Chunchie, and beloved sister of Rohani Camal, and Mayga Kumail.

It’s with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Seeni Mohammed Basheer (SM-Maliban) on 26th of April 2026 ( Dhuʻl-Qiʻdah 9, 1447 AH)

He is beloved husband of Musthariya Ismail ( daughter of Ismail & Co Kalmunai) and loving father of Shamliya Basheer ( daughter) , Ahamed Shabith Basheer ( eldest son) , Ahamed Hathim Basheer ( youngest son).

His Janaza will be kept at the Dehiwale Grand Masjid between 1pm to 5pm today. Thereafter, the Janaza will be taken to Kalmunai ( his hometown) for burial.

His funeral will be held today, Friday, 03/04/2026, at the Kurukutthala Masjidul Huda Main Jumma Mosque, following Asr prayers.
